The Continuous Improvement Manager drives implementation of the Altium Production System (APS) across several pillars/elements of Operational Excellence: Safety, Quality, Daily Team Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, Focused Improvement, Continuous Skills Development, etc. The Continuous Improvement Manager assumes responsibility for the implementation of APS to his/her assigned plants, providing leadership and coaching that result in excellence in productivity while maintaining the well-being of all plant employees.

Essential Function - Roles/Responsibilities

The Continuous Improvement Manager will utilize his/her strong interpersonal skills and track record of leading/implementing change to:

  1. Educate, communicate, and work with all levels of manufacturing employees including senior leadership, plant leaders, and shop-floor employees
  2. Plan, lead, and facilitate meetings/working sessions
  3. Direct and lead multiple initiatives at once
  4. Build and implement detailed project plans
  5. Utilize computer skills necessary to build presentations and spreadsheets
Qualifications Required:
  1. Working knowledge and practical experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) including team development and coaching is required
  2. Practical application of TPM and Continuous Improvement principles
  3. 4+ years Manufacturing operations experience strongly preferred especially in rigid plastics and continuous flow manufacturing
  4. Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively assess situations and make appropriate decisions in a timely manner
  5. Strong persuasive and influential leadership skills
  6. Superior written and verbal communication skills
  7. Analytical mindset and ability to understand and organize data
  8. Strong problem-solving skills
  9. Remote based role that requires travel as well as using technology for remote-resourcing (augmented reality, video, etc.)
Qualifications Preferred:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred (any field directly related to the design and/or manufacturing of the primary products), or in a significantly related field such as business, planning or supply chain
  2. Continued career interest in manufacturing, continuous improvement, plant operations/management, and senior management roles.

Targeted Pay Range: $90,300.00 - $111,900.00
