Job summary

Eaton’s Commercial Product & Assemblies division in Sumter, SC is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer for Front End Engineering. This on-site role focuses on improving ETO processes, SOPs, and training across engineering teams.

You’ll drive KPIs, leverage Bid Manager/MI Manager, and support design systems enhancements. Required: BS in engineering, 5+ years with ETO products, and experience with Design Automation, ENOVIA, AutoCAD, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Five (5) years of applicable engineering experience with engineered-to-order products and configuration tools or project management.
• Experience with ETO tools: Bid Manager, MI Manager, Design Automation, DCMS, Plant Order Manager and Pick Work Bench.
• Willingness to travel 10–15% to other Eaton locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects to improve and develop Product Line Systems and ETO tools.
• Collaborate with Front End Engineering teams to drive process improvements.
• Drive enhancement requests for Bid Manager and Design Automation to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Participate in design reviews to ensure alignment with planned changes.
• Support SOP creation and training related to CI efforts.
• Manage large projects to milestones with limited supervision.
