Job summary

SERVPRO Franchise in Frederick, MD is seeking a restoration technician to respond to emergencies such as water and fire damage, perform extraction, set up equipment, and assist with cleanup.

You will work in teams, lift heavy loads, operate tools, and communicate with clients and supervisors. Valid driver’s license is required; on-call shifts possible.

Qualifications

• Experience in restoration, construction or related field preferred.
• Willingness to work on-call evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergencies such as water or fire damage.
• Perform restoration activities including water extraction, drying, and equipment setup.
• Load, inventory, and maintain vehicles with tools and supplies.
• Communicate safety hazards and site findings to supervisors.
• Maintain clear communication with clients about the restoration process.
• Perform cleanup tasks and site restoration.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to, water extraction, fire damages, set-up of specialty equipment, and demolition.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.
• Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
• Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean-up

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work occasional on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.
