Job summary

SERVPRO Franchise is seeking a dedicated restoration professional to respond to emergencies and perform water and fire restoration tasks, helping communities recover quickly.

You will work with a team, handle lifting and outdoor work, and must have a valid driver's license. Prior restoration or construction experience is preferred; on-call shifts evenings and weekends may apply.

Qualifications

• Previous handyman or construction experience required or preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to learn new skills related to restoration and construction.
• Motivation to help others in times of need and make a community difference.
• Comfort with outdoor work and physical tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage and fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities (water extraction, drying, and debris removal).
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools and supplies.
• Communicate safety hazards and job-site findings clearly to supervisors.
• Maintain open communication with clients, addressing concerns and explaining processes.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction and site cleanup.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to, water extraction, fire damages, set-up of specialty equipment, and demolition.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.
• Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
• Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean-up

Position Requirements

• Valid driver's license with Real ID
• Willingness to work occasional on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus. (Preferred but not required.)

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.
