Job summary

SERVPRO Franchise is hiring a Restoration Technician to respond to emergencies with speed and care. You will assess damage, perform water extraction, fire damage cleanup, and set up equipment.

You’ll work closely with teams to protect property and help clients navigate the restoration process. Ideal candidates have handyman or construction experience, enjoy hands-on work, and are committed to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to work on-call, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous restoration, construction, or related field experience preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities including water extraction, fire cleanup, equipment setup, and demolition.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and supplies for each project.
• Communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements to supervisors.
• Maintain open communication with clients, addressing concerns and explaining the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site cleanup.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to, water extraction, fire damages, set-up of specialty equipment, and demolition.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.
• Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
• Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean-up

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work occasional on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.
