Job summary

WGL Holdings, Inc. seeks a Communications Content Advisor to bring Washington Gas stories to life across channels. You will craft content for employees, customers, communities, and external stakeholders, coordinating campaigns from planning through publication.

You’ll manage calendars, digital channels, and executive-visible messaging, collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure clear, consistent communications that align with business priorities.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of communications experience with strong writing and editing skills.
• Experience coordinating projects and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience managing websites, digital channels, or publishing platforms.
• Strong organizational, collaboration, and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop engaging content for employee, customer, community, and corporate communications.
• Create and edit articles, newsletters, website and social media content, and presentations.
• Support executive visibility through content and message development.
• Adapt messaging for different audiences while preserving a consistent voice.
• Manage editorial calendars, publishing schedules, and content planning processes.
• Coordinate integrated campaigns across internal and external stakeholders.
• Track metrics and recommend improvements based on engagement and results.
• Support emergency communications planning and incident-response materials.
