Job summary

AltaGas Ltd. is seeking a Content Advisor to join Washington Gas’s communications team. In this hands-on role, you will craft compelling content for employees, customers, communities, and external stakeholders, guiding campaigns from planning through publication.

You’ll manage content calendars, digital channels, and executive visibility, collaborating with internal and external partners to deliver clear, consistent communications aligned with business priorities.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of communications experience with strong writing and editing skills.
• Experience coordinating communications projects and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience managing websites, digital channels, CMS, or publishing platforms.
• Excellent organizational, project-management, collaboration, and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Government Affairs, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop engaging content for employee, customer, community, and corporate communications.
• Create and edit articles, announcements, newsletters, website and social media content, and presentations.
• Support executive visibility through content and message development.
• Adapt messaging for different audiences and channels while keeping an organizational voice.
• Manage editorial calendars, publishing schedules, and content-planning processes.
• Coordinate integrated campaigns and workflows across internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Ensure communications align with priorities and key business initiatives.
• Compile metrics and recommend improvements based on audience engagement.
• Support emergency communications planning and incident-response efforts.
