Job summary

AltaGas Ltd. is seeking a Communications Content Advisor to bring the stories of Washington Gas to life across channels and audiences.

You will create content for employees, customers, communities, and external stakeholders while coordinating campaigns from planning through publication. This hands-on role manages content calendars, digital channels, and supports executive visibility, collaborating with internal and external partners to deliver clear, consistent communications aligned with

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of communications experience with strong writing, editing, and content development.
• Experience coordinating communications projects and managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience managing websites, digital channels, CMS, or publishing platforms.
• Strong organizational, project-management, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Government Affairs, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
• Experience using metrics to evaluate performance in campaigns is preferred.
• Experience within regulated utilities, energy, public sector, or critical infra environments is an asset.
• Incident Command System training or experience supporting emergency communications is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop engaging content for employee, customer, community, operational, and corporate communications.
• Create and edit articles, announcements, newsletters, website and social media content, presentations, talking points, and other materials.
• Support executive visibility through thoughtful content and message development.
• Adapt messaging for different audiences and channels while maintaining a consistent voice.
• Manage editorial calendars, publishing schedules, digital content updates, and content-planning processes.
• Coordinate integrated communications campaigns and workflows across internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Ensure content and communications activities align with organizational priorities and key business initiatives.
• Compile communications metrics and recommend improvements based on results and engagement.
• Support emergency communications planning and incident-response materials.
