Job summary

Vermillio is seeking a Customer Success professional to own content protection operations end to end, running takedowns and making rights-based publish decisions for TraceID results. You will be the day-to-day legal rights contact for some of the most recognizable talent and IP in the world.

Ideal candidates bring IP enforcement experience and a passion for the intersection of emerging technologies and copyright law, with a focus on DMCA notices and rights protection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• 1–2 years of direct or equivalent experience in content protection, intellectual property or patent related fields.
• Proficiency in legal writing and legal research.
• Working knowledge of US copyright and trademark law, and of DMCA notice-and-takedown practice.
• Familiarity with social media outlets and user generated content platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; confident interfacing with high-profile clients and internal leadership.
• Ability to communicate effectively cross functionally, internally and externally.
• Proven ability to manage timelines, track follow-ups, and drive work to completion independently.
• Sound judgment handling sensitive and confidential client information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Manage takedowns lifecycle end to end; answering clients who have questions about takedowns and rights.
• Review infraction results and determine what to publish based on the clients’ rights.
• Draft correspondence and other written materials, including editing and reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and administer Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) notices and cease and desist letters.
• Collaborate with trade organizations, vendors, and internal teams to address unauthorized use of likeness, copyrights and trademarks.
• Support in-house attorneys and the Customer Success Team in safeguarding intellectual property rights, including administering DMCA notices and responding to rights violations.
