Job summary

Meta seeks a Content Policy Manager to shape policies for actor and behavioral integrity and to define guardrails governing accounts, pages, groups, and new products across Meta platforms. You will partner with Product, Legal, and Public Policy teams to counsel on launches, safety safeguards, and governance for AI-driven content moderation.

The role requires experience in content policy, strong writing skills, and the ability to work under tight timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., public policy, law, political science, communications, or related discipline)
• 8+ years of experience in content policy, trust and safety, platform integrity, or a related field
• Experience working on cross-functional teams to deliver impact without direct authority
• Track record of making high-judgment decisions, with the judgment to know when to elevate
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work with potentially sensitive or objectionable topics

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to assess policy risks in new launches, tests, and product changes — defining safeguards, flagging tradeoffs, and clarifying escalation paths before features reach users
• Own policy counseling for actor-level enforcement, assessing proposals for impacts on free expression, safety, and enforcement precision — ensuring risks are surfaced early with clear guidance for operations and integrity teams
• Shape governance and policy frameworks for AI-driven content moderation to ensure defensibility and accuracy at scale
• Establish and refine processes for cross-functional approvals and leadership review — preparing clear recommendations, quantifying impact, and accelerating alignment on high-stakes decisions
• Support escalation coverage and on-call rotation, making rapid, defensible policy decisions under time pressure
• Contribute to election readiness and crisis response efforts, coordinating with integrity and legal teams as needed
