Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is building a new data center power generation vertical and seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to shape electrical architecture for containerized, large-scale generator systems in Sidney, OH. You will own design and integration from concept through manufacturing readiness, partnering with engineering, manufacturing, and sourcing teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on ownership of design, validation, and deployment for mission-critical data center power solutions, with growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of progressive electrical design experience in power generation, critical facilities, modular infrastructure, or related industries.
• 2+ years designing power distribution systems and power generation equipment.
• 2+ years proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar design platforms.

Responsibilities

• Electrical System Design for containerized and modular power generation packages.
• Develop schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring drawings, cable schedules, and layouts.
• Design and integrate diesel and natural gas generator systems, ATS, switchgear, UPS interfaces, BESS, and auxiliary systems.
