Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is hiring an Electrical Engineer for power generation containerization in Sidney, OH. The role focuses on designing and integrating large, containerized generator packages to support mission-critical data centers.

You will own electrical architectures, enclosure design, controls access, and system integration, collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to scale the solution for reliability and uptime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive electrical design experience in power generation or data-center environments.
• 2+ years designing power distribution systems and generator packaging.
• Experience interpreting electrical specs and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for containerized power generation packages for data centers.
• Develop schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring drawings, and layouts.
• Coordinate with mechanical, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure integrated solution.
• Perform load flow, short-circuit, voltage drop, and protection coordination studies.
• Support testing, FAT/SAT procedures, commissioning, and field issue resolution.
