Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Container Welder/Fabricator in Minnesota to repair, weld, and paint containers and roll-off boxes. Responsibilities include MIG/ARC welding, cutting with plasma, fabrication using brakes/shears, and installing lids and wheels.

Applicants should have welding certification and 1 year of welding experience or completion of a welding program; strong safety compliance and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Certified welder with MIG/ARC experience.
• Advanced knowledge of MIG & ARC welders, plasma cutter, and airless paint sprayers; basic hand tools familiarity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains front, rear and roll-off containers.
• Welds steel and aluminum components using MIG and ARC welding equipment.
• Fabricates steel components using a brake and shear.
• Cuts steel with plasma cutter or torch.
• Fabricates steel parts for hoppers, containers, and compactors.
• Installs lids and wheels on containers.
• Paints repaired containers.
• Follows safety policies and procedures.
• Completes required paperwork.
• installs company decals on containers and roll-off boxes.
• Performs other duties and refers complex repairs to supervisor.
