Job summary

Republic Services in Albany, Oregon is seeking a Container Welder/Fabricator to repair, weld, paint and maintain front, rear and roll-off containers.

You will weld steel and aluminum with MIG/ARC, fabricate components with brake and shear, cut with a plasma cutter, install lids and wheels, and ensure safety and paperwork are completed. Excellent communication and ability to follow directions with minimal supervision are required.

Qualifications

• Certified welder with demonstrated MIG/ARC welding capabilities.
• Advanced knowledge of MIG and stick welders, plasma cutter, and airless paint sprayers.
• Familiar with basic use of hand tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions with minimal supervisory involvement.

Responsibilities

• Weld steel and aluminum components using MIG and ARC welding equipment.
• Fabricate steel components using brake and shear.
• Cut steel using plasma cutter or torch.
• Fabricate components for hoppers, containers and compactors.
• Install lids and wheels on containers.
• Paint repaired containers.
• Follow safety policies and procedures and complete required paperwork.
• Refer more complex repairs to Supervisor.
