Job summary

Kraus Enterprises Inc is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Queens, NY team. This role offers growth in a dynamic organization focused on precision and integrity.

You will manage financial statements, assist with closes, handle AP/AR, support budgeting, and ensure GAAP compliance while coordinating with auditors as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP or similar and Excel.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• CPA certification or progress toward CPA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial statements, journal entries, and GL reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closes.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations


• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes


• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions


• Support budget preparation and financial forecasting activities


• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow


• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies


• Assist with tax preparation and coordinate with external auditors as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field


• 1-3 years of experience in accounting or a similar role


• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel


• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles


• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills


• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment


• CPA certification or progress toward CPA is a plus
