Responsibilities include monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, building insightful reports, developing models to assess profitability, supporting audits and tax requests, and driving process improvements with technology-enabled solutions.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience with financial reporting/analysis.
• Public accounting experience preferred; CPA or CPA-track encouraged.
• GAAP knowledge and month-end close experience.

Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a collaborative finance team supporting multiple entities within a complex business environment. This role offers a unique blend of accounting, financial planning & analysis, financial modeling, and reporting. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with large data sets, building financial insights, and partnering with both finance and business teams to support growth initiatives and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across multiple entities.
• Develop and maintain financial reports and analyses to evaluate business performance and trends.
• Build and enhance financial models used to assess profitability, growth opportunities, and business initiatives.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to support planning, reporting, and decision-making efforts.
• Assist with audit support, tax-related requests, and financial compliance activities.
• Consolidate and analyze data from multiple systems to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
• Support cash management, general ledger activities, and day-to-day accounting operations.
• Identify and implement process improvements, reporting enhancements, and technology-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2-5 years of accounting experience with a strong foundation in financial reporting and analysis.
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred; CPA or CPA-track candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Experience supporting month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, complex formulas, data analysis, and reporting.
• Experience working with accounting systems and ERP platforms; QuickBooks experience is a plus.
• Exposure to federal tax, auditing, treasury, or operational finance activities is beneficial.
