Job summary

Busey Bank is seeking a Consumer Deposits and Payments Business Risk & Control Manager to lead risk and control frameworks for consumer products across traditional and digital banking channels.

The role acts as a subject matter expert on consumer-related risks, advising on controls, testing, and regulatory compliance to minimize financial, regulatory, and reputational risk across the consumer line.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of consumer regulations and trends.
• Design and documentation of procedures and controls.
• Experience with traditional and digital banking products.

Responsibilities

• Assess controls frameworks across consumer payments and deposits; provide improvement recommendations.
• Guide control improvements to ensure risk is mitigated efficiently.
• Develop testing standards and monitoring programs to evaluate design and operating effectiveness.
• Create and maintain reporting of testing results and risk projects for management.
• Support change management for new regulations or new products; assist in implementing monitoring programs.
• Translate regulatory impact for the business lines and coordinate with second line of defense.
• Support remediation tracking and root-cause analysis for risk findings.
• Assist enterprise risk management programs within business lines (risk assessments, resiliency).
• Interpret new regulatory requirements and oversee their implementation where appropriate.
