Job summary

Busey Bank is seeking a Consumer Business Risk & Compliance Manager to develop and execute risk and control frameworks within the Consumer Payments and Deposits teams. This role serves as the SME for consumer risks in both traditional retail and digital banking products and processes.

You will provide consultative guidance on control design, testing, and regulatory changes, and lead efforts to minimize regulatory risk and reputational exposure across the business.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of consumer regulations and trends, including small business protection.
• Ability to design and document procedures and controls.
• Experience in financial services risk, audit, or compliance.
• Experience with traditional and digital banking environments.

Responsibilities

• Assess control frameworks across consumer payments and deposits, with recommendations.
• Guide control improvements to ensure effective design and operation.
• Develop and monitor testing standards and reporting of results.
• Support regulatory changes and new products with controls.
• Coordinate between second line and business to translate regulatory impact.
• Track issue resolution and remediation monitoring.
• Support enterprise risk management programs within business lines.
• Interpret new regulatory requirements and oversee their implementation.
