Farmers National Banc Corp. is seeking an underwriting professional to assess credit worthiness and support loan decisioning. You will review income verification, tax returns, and credit reports to ensure proper documentation and compliant processing of loan files.

The role emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail, and collaboration with Lending and Compliance teams to manage risk and close loans efficiently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of three years of lending and/or underwriting experience.
• Proven customer service skills, direct contact and via phone.
• Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, Internet navigation/research, and Outlook is expected.

Responsibilities

• Analyze a borrower's credit worthiness by reviewing income verification, tax returns, financial statements, credit reports, real estate, appraisals, and other documents.
• Determine if a customer's loan application should be approved or denied within lending authority.
• Ensure compliance, accuracy and completeness of loan documentation.
• Assist in preparing loan closing documentation and related reporting.
• Review credit applications and recommend decisions to supervisor when over assigned authority.
• Remain current on industry guidelines, products, procedures, and regulatory changes.
• Support lenders and processors with file documentation and problem resolution.
