About the Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for retail loan servicing within an environment of high work volumes and established deadlines. You will handle assignments that are moderately complex, requiring independent action and initiative in resolving problems and developing recommendations. You will independently manage servicing and production tasks requiring knowledge of retail lending documents, policies, and procedures. You will often determine methods and procedures on new assignments.

  • Perform loan servicing activities such as general loan maintenance, processing loan payments, data entry, loan document creation, lien perfection, escrow/tax support, flood review, or general ledger reconciliation.
  • Understand moderate to complex retail loan products and documentation, regulations, policies, and procedures; apply changes to work process.
  • Capture metrics to assist leadership in workflow coordination and adjustments.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance workflow processes.
  • Perform work accurately and meet deadlines.
  • Provide outstanding customer service; respond to requests and make recommendations to internal and external customers.
  • Ensure compliance with all bank regulations related to your job functions, staying updated on regulation changes.
  • Follow all bank policies and procedures, complete required training.
  • Maintain knowledge of policies regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other relevant regulations.
  • May coach, mentor, or train others as a subject matter expert.
  • Demonstrate and foster Umpqua’s corporate culture in all actions.
  • Take personal initiative and serve as a positive example.
  • Support the vision to become “Business Bank of Choice”.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
About You:
  • High school diploma/GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of advanced retail loan servicing or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of consumer loans, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent math, analytical, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of commercial loans, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, loan servicing systems, and other office equipment.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, deadline-driven service environment.
Job Location(s):

Ability to work fully onsite at locations such as Liberty Lake, WA; Tacoma, WA; Roseburg, OR.

Our Benefits:

We offer a competitive total rewards package including wages and benefits. The pay range is $18.00 - $23.00, dependent on experience and location. Benefits include healthcare, 401(k), life and disability insurance, tuition assistance, mental health resources, paid time off, and more.
