Job summary

Dow Credit Union seeks a Consumer Loan Officer to guide members through lending decisions and develop relationships. You’ll assess creditworthiness, process applications, and ensure compliant loan approvals.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of consumer lending or related experience.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist members in identifying personal lending needs and present the best loan options.
• Take applications online and in person, evaluate creditworthiness, and make sound credit decisions.
• Create loans within established authority while adhering to lending policies.
• Counsel members on credit issues and loan products.
• Maintain accurate documentation and manage the loan pipeline.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners (dealers, insurers, Visa, etc.).
• Actively cross-sell additional credit union services.
