Job summary

First Tech Federal Credit Union seeks a Consumer Lending Loan Officer to analyze, underwrite, and decide consumer loan applications in line with credit union policies and regulatory standards.

The role requires knowledge of loan products, strong compliance with ECOA and Regulation Z, and accurate documentation. You will support sales goals and cross-sell lending services while delivering professional member service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two to four years previous consumer lending experience.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Call center experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret financial statements.
• Ability to read, understand, and analyze credit bureau reports and scores.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of DCU products and services, focusing on Direct and Indirect consumer loan programs and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with ECOA, Regulation Z, Fair Lending and related laws.
• Assess creditworthiness using LOS systems and lending procedures.
• Approve, deny or counteroffer loan applications and document decisions.
• Inform members, dealers and staff of loan decisions within deadlines.
