Qualifications

• Two or more years in a high-volume consumer lending environment.
• Experience underwriting in consumer, indirect, credit card and home equity lending preferred.
• Understanding of branch operations or equivalent knowledge in a financial institution.
• Possesses trust and diplomacy, demonstrating courtesy and tact.
• Ability to mentor others on lending and recommending loan products.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations governing lending; ability to work flexibly and independently.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites, analyzes, makes credit decisions and handles adverse actions within authority.
• Reviews income on home equity applications, including complex cases.
• Reviews loan requests and denials against guidelines; approves, counters, or denies within limits.
• Provides consistent credit guidance to lending staff.
• Provides prompt credit decisions to dealers and informs them of approvals.
• Maintains knowledge of TopLine products and offers suitable financial options.
• Supports training and onboarding of new hires in lending practices.
