Job summary

TVFCU is seeking a consumer loan officer at our Corporate Headquarters in Chattanooga, TN. The role focuses on selling and originating consumer loans, interviewing applicants, and presenting Credit Union products to meet member needs.

You will process applications, verify information, and coordinate with underwriters while maintaining regulatory compliance. Ideal candidates have high school diploma or higher, experience in lending or sales, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree preferred.
• Sales experience in financial services preferred.
• Experience with loan applications and consumer lending products.
• Knowledge of lending regulations (Reg B, Reg Z, ECOA).
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with loan applicants to assess needs and match Credit Union products.
• Processes loan applications and submits to Underwriter/Processor promptly.
• Performs credit review using credit reports to evaluate indebtedness.
• Manages high-volume member interactions via multiple channels.
• Ensures compliance with laws and TVFCU policies.
