Job summary

10x Genomics Inc is seeking a Consumables NPI Engineer 3 to join the Manufacturing Systems Engineering team in Pleasanton, CA. The role focuses on transferring new plastic components to volume manufacturing and ensuring sustainment of on-market consumables.

You will collaborate with R&D, supplier teams, and manufacturing to drive qualification, part release, and accurate BOM structures in Arena PLM and Oracle ERP, enabling robust product launches and lifecycle support.

Qualifications

BS/MS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Plastics, or Industrial Engineering.
6+ years in manufacturing or NPI engineering in biotech, life sciences, or medical devices.
Experience building BOM/part structures in PLM and ERP systems.
Supplier engineering experience including on-site support.
Direct plastics experience: molding, LSR, or precision plastics manufacturing.
Experience authoring work instructions in quality-controlled environments.

Responsibilities

Communicate NPI status, risks, and decisions to stakeholders across functions.
Drive qualification activities with suppliers (IQ/OQ/PQ, first-article inspection).
Own part release through ECOs/ECRs and coordinate cross-gate readiness.
Maintain BOM/part structures in Arena PLM and Oracle ERP.
Author and maintain manufacturing WINs, translating specs to operator guides.
