Job summary
Sonova in Valencia, California is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer, NPI to support new product introduction and manufacturing engineering activities. You will collaborate with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain to translate design requirements into robust, validated production processes.
The role requires 5+ years in Manufacturing Engineering or NPI, expertise in IQ/OQ/PQ, DOE, PFMEA, and experience with laser welding or assembly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Biomedical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years in Manufacturing Engineering, NPI, or design transfer.
- Experience with IQ/OQ/PQ, DOE and PFMEA in regulated environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing engineering and design transfer from development to production.
- Develop processes, work instructions, inspection methods and controls for new products.
- Lead validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) using DOE and statistical methods.
- Apply PFMEA to mitigate process risks and improve manufacturability.
- Collaborate with R&D and cross-functional teams to ensure traceability from design to production.
- Troubleshoot and drive improvements delivering measurable results.
