• Education can substitute experience as described (1 year of study per 9 months of experience, up to a 4-year bachelor’s) .

• Monitors and optimizes store performance and financial projections for assigned departments.
• Develops merchandising strategies and promotional programs; supports advertising schedules and events.
• Keeps current on industry trends and benchmarks practices with other retailers.
• Manages stock plans, seasonal buys, and new item introductions; informs buyers on sales performance.
• Oversees training for department staff and supervises personnel; provides management oversight within the Navy Exchange system.
• Maintains liaison with regional staff to align business strategies and programs.
