Join Our Team as a Warehouse and Yard Attendant!

As a Warehouse and Yard Attendant at August Roofing and Solar, you will be a vital member of our production team, responsible for maintaining the yard and warehouse operations.If you enjoy working outdoors, are mechanically inclined and have experience in yard and/or warehouse environment, we want to hear from you! This is a fulltime position with a Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM work Schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• In charge of stationing and retrieving materials and equipment that will get delivered to our job sites.
• Responsible for determining when trailers need to be dumped by conducting thorough checks and ensuring timely returns.
• Assist with driving forklifts and trucks for local pickup and delivery of materials, including driving trucks with attached trailers to Waste Management Centers
• Maintain all required paperwork and documentation for incoming deliveries, reporting to the Production Manager.
• Oversee and assist with routine service and upkeep of company vehicles and equipment as necessary.
• Support the movement of materials, tools, and supplies throughout the warehouse and yard, including receiving, storage, and shipment of materials.
• Assist the Production Manager in conducting inventory counts, receiving deliveries, and updating inventory counts for surplus materials from jobs.
• Ensure the safe keeping, organization, and security of the yard by monitoring perimeter fencing and adhering to open/closing procedures.
• Responsible for making material returns to suppliers as required.

Compensation: $20 - $22 per hour (DOE).

Requirements:

• Regular Class C Driver's License
• Prior experience working outdoors in adverse conditions, ideally in a yard/warehouse environment, with roofing materials experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and handyman skills to perform routine maintenance tasks and address visible damages on tools, vehicles, lifts, trailers, and mixers.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on accuracy and organization.
• Proficient in operating forklifts and other specialized equipment.
• Positive attitude, flexibility, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
