Job description

Hearts & Halos In-Home Euthanasia practice is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our team.

Candidates should be compassionate, respectful, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with aquamation equipment and handling deceased pets. The aquamation assistant's responsibilities include operating and maintaining equipment, driving to and from hospitals and the aftercare facility, cleaning the crematorium, following safety protocols, planning and executing aquamation operations, and ensuring adherence to company standards.

Pay Range: $18.00/hr

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Maintain and operate all aspects of the crematorium, including cleaning.
2. Keep thorough records to ensure a smooth aftercare process.
3. Drive to and from hospitals and the aftercare facility.
4. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid driver's license and a good driving record (driving is required).
• Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
• Detail-oriented, capable of completing tasks thoroughly.
• Accurate, organized, and legible documentation skills.
• High level of integrity, ethics, and compassion for deceased pets.
• Familiarity with basic technological equipment.
• Ability to work extended hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; team player.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift approximately 100 lbs+ and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Adherence to safety policies and procedures.

Desired Experience:

• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in English; bilingual skills are a plus.
• Experience in the death care industry is a plus but not required.
