We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Assistant based in Norwalk, CA.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Responsible for various tasks in the warehouse and yard, including but not limited to, housekeeping, organizing tools, equipment and materials, loading and unloading materials and equipment, warehouse inventory.
• Responsible for delivering trucks, materials and/or tools to other locations.
• Maintains yard and warehouse to ensure it is clean and organized.
• Follow all requirements of the company safety program.
• Take personal responsibility for safety in working environment.
• Promote safety among peers, subordinates and supervisors
• Perform additional assignments and assume additional responsibilities as directed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• A high school diploma required.
• Typically possesses 0 - 2 years of experience working in a warehouse, yard or construction related discipline.
• Must be 21 years of age, with a good driving record and a valid California Driver License.

SKILLS, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Good knowledge of safety precautions and procedures relating to dispatch matters.
• Working knowledge of word and excel for recordkeeping.
• Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Complies with company practices and policies.
• Interacts professionally with all company employees and outside persons.
• Able to stand for long periods of time, use arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects.
• Able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

Working conditions consists of temperature-controlled buildings or offices, outside elements such as rain, cold, and heat when working with in open environments, driving from various locations or attending meetings, etc. Noise levels are moderate to loud depending on work location
