Job description

Morton Buildings is looking to expand our construction crews and employee owners! Morton Buildings, Inc. is the industry leader in post-frame construction. We have been in business for over 120 years and operate more than 10 manufacturing, fabrication, and shipping plants serving over 100 construction centers nationwide. Each year, thousands of new buildings display the Morton M.

Salary ranges from $22.00 to $24.00 per hour based on experience. PAID WEEKLY!

Bonus! Earn an additional $2000 in your first year. New crew members receive a $500 bonus every quarter during their first year. These bonuses are subject to all applicable taxes.

Under the guidance of your crew foreman, you will:

1. Learn, stay current with, and apply Morton Buildings' safety and construction procedures, methods, and standards.
2. Read, understand, and build according to construction plans.
3. Use various tools and equipment to construct buildings safely and efficiently.
4. Perform tasks such as digging and installing footings, framing walls and roof structures, installing windows, doors, siding, roofing materials, and finishing with trims.
5. Work collaboratively with team members in a safe, organized, and respectful environment.

Qualifications:

1. Experience in building construction (post-frame), carpentry, or framing preferred.
2. Willingness to complete a training program.
3. A valid driver’s license is preferred.
4. Availability to work 9-10 hours during peak season.
5. Ability to follow directions and produce quality work efficiently.
6. Commitment to safety procedures and proper use of tools and safety equipment.
7. Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly, with occasional lifts up to 100 pounds.
8. Capable of working at heights up to 40 feet and in physically demanding conditions.
9. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. Willingness to travel up to 20%, including overnight stays of up to two weeks.
