Job description

Pay Range: $20.00-$22.00
Part Time 20 Hours

GENERAL SCOPE: Includes painting new and existing surfaces, drywall repairs, wallpaper installation and repairs, new and replacement tile work, new and replacement flooring installations, repairs to existing VCT, vinyl flooring, ceilings and minor maintenance repairs as needed.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION: High school graduate or equivalent or trade school.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Finish or refinish items as required with paint, varnish, epoxy or other finished materials.
• Installs, repairs and replaces building fixtures, such as doors, windows, screens, curtain rods, grab bars, corridor railings and other equipment/systems relating to the visual, safety and usefulness of the facility.
• Makes repairs to wall coverings, prepares walls and applies wall coverings.
• Plans and perform work on small to mid-sized painting type projects.
• Repairs and installs ceramic tile, quarry tile, floor tile, ceiling tile and grid systems, concrete, asphalt and wood materials.
• Works with vendors and contractors on all painting and wall covering issues.
• Safely operates customary tools/equipment relating to carpentry and other tasks in this position description.
• Must have basic understanding of building systems: such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC and sewer maintenance.
• Plans all work; calculates material requirements; and performs work.
• Designs, builds and installs special equipment for the facility as needed.
• Work with tradesmen, mechanics or other staff as assigned.

EXPERIENCE: Four (4) years as a skilled painter. Experience with MS Office and MS Outlook preferred.
