Job summary

RIVET is seeking a Business Development Representative in Detroit to drive territory pipeline. You will research, qualify leads, and book meetings with decision-makers, helping grow our sales footprint in a largely untapped market.

You'll represent RIVET at industry events, collaborate with Marketing and Sales, and advance toward an Account Executive role as you prove success. A 2–4+ year outbound BD background is ideal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; no specific major.
• 2–4+ years of outbound business development experience (SDR, BDR).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% for in-person prospecting and events.
• Ability to work in-office most of the week with remote flexibility when targets are met.

Responsibilities

• Research and qualify inbound and outbound leads to build pipeline.
• Book meetings with decision-makers matching ICP.
• Represent RIVET at industry events and in-market visits.
• Maintain accurate CRM records for each lead.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to keep pipeline moving.
• Develop product and market knowledge to grow toward a selling role.
