Job summary

ARMADA Ltd. is seeking a Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) to support Information Monitoring and Protection Services (IMPS) at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Jacksonville, FL.

The position requires Top Secret clearance, a CST certificate, and the ability to monitor the secure construction site and enforce access controls. You will report to ARMADA HQ and work with the Government Special Security Officer, performing site inspections and daily opening/closing procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 5 years of construction experience or up to 2 years of construction security experience if related to DoW SCIF construction.
• Familiar with the 16 standard divisions of construction as defined by CSI.
• Must hold a valid CST course certificate within the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Monitor activities of all uncleared construction workers and personnel on the Secure Construction Site at all times.
• Ensure procedures to control site access are implemented.
• Deny unauthorized site access as needed.
• Conduct security inspections of construction materials, finished and unfinished work and personnel.
• Carry out opening and closing procedures of the Secure Construction Site daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• CSTs will monitor the activities of all uncleared construction workers and personnel on the Secure Construction Site at all times.
• Ensure procedures to control site access are implemented.
• CSTs will implement procedures to deny unauthorized site access.
• Conduct security inspections of construction materials, finished and unfinished construction work and personnel.
• CSTs will carry out opening and closing procedures of the Secure Construction Site each day as directed by the Government Special Security Officer or Site Security Manager.
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

• Knowledge of the 16 standard divisions of construction as defined by the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI).
• Ability to stand, sit, bend, walk, kneel, and other related physical activities for long periods of time.
• Knowledge of ICD/ICS 705 physical and technical security standards and the ability to apply these standards to ensure compliance with established security requirements.

Minimum/General Experience:

• Must have at least 5 years of construction experience or up to 2 years of construction security experience if the security experience is directly related to DoW Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) construction.
• Must be familiar with the 16 standard divisions of construction as defined per the Construction Specification Institute (CSI)
• Must hold a valid certificate for the successful completion of a 40-hour or greater CST course within the last 5 years.

Minimum Education:

• HS Diploma, or equivalent
