Job summary

Cape Fox Facilities Services is seeking an experienced Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) to support an existing contract aboard Redstone Arsenal, AL. The CST will monitor site activities and document security incidents on the Secure Construction Site (SCS).

The role requires active TS/SCI clearance, CST training, and at least five years of construction or security experience. The position may involve 24/7 operations with a total hourly pay of $40.09 for up to 40 hours per week and

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Minimum five years of construction or security-related experience, with at least two years on SCIF construction or physical security.
• Knowledgeable about listening devices used by foreign intelligence
• Must have CST training certificate (40+ hour)
• Must be able to stand, walk and perform physical activities for extended periods
• Experience working with construction trades.

Responsibilities

• Monitor activities of all personnel on the Secure Construction Site at all times.
• Document activities of personnel on the SCS.
• Document all security incidents on the SCS.
• Inspect construction materials, tools and equipment for tampering and anomalies.
• Use specialized equipment: non-linear junction detector, spectrum analyzer, portable X-ray machine.
• Screen equipment and materials with Counter Measure equipment.
• Identify anomalies vs. official construction plans.
• Perform access control functions including searches.
• Open/close SCS daily as directed by SSM.
• Operate in 24/7/365 mode if required.

Job Description

Cape Fox Facilities Services is seeking an experienced Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) to support an existing contract.This CST will provide construction surveillance services for DIA facilities under construction aboard Redstone Arsenal, AL.

The total hourly pay for this non-exempt position ($40.09per hour for up to 40 hours per week) is comprised of a base hourly rate of $35plus $5.09per hour Health & Welfare (H&W) for up to 40 hours per week as required by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCLS) regulations.

The above rate represents the company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Responsibilities include:

• Monitor the activities of all personnel on the Secure Construction Site (SCS) at all times
• Document activities of personnel on the SCS
• Document all security incidents on the SCS
• Perform in-depth inspection of construction materials, tools, and equipment prior to and after their use/installation ensuring all items are free of tampering and identifying all anomalies
• Inspections will include the use of specialized equipment including the Non-Linear Junction Detector, Spectrum Analyzer, and Portable X-Ray machine
• Utilize Technical Security Counter Measure equipment to screen equipment and materials
• Identify anomalies and variances in construction work against the official project construction plans
• Perform close-in/Seal-in inspections in accordance with the CSP, SSM, and SSC Direction
• Perform access control functions including personnel and bag searches
• Carry out opening and closing procedures of the SCS each day as directed by the SSM
• Operations may include 24/7/365 operations

Job Requirements

• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Minimum of five (5) years of construction experience or equivalent experience such as security experience. Security experience must be a minimum of two (2) years of construction experience directly related to SCIF construction or physical security
• Knowledgeable of common listening devices used by foreign intelligence services
• Must hold a valid certificate for the successful completion of a forty (40) hour or greater CST training course
• Must be able to stand, sit, bend, walk, kneel, and perform other related physical activities for extended periods of time
• Have experience working with construction trades
