Arizona Public Service - APS seeks a Manager of Construction Support to provide strategic leadership for Survey, Land, and Contract Management functions, ensuring efficient project planning, permitting, procurement, budgeting, scheduling, bidding and contracting.

The role emphasizes building a high-performing team through staffing, training, coaching and development, with focus on quality, timeliness and customer satisfaction across capital projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field plus 8 years of relevant experience.
• In lieu of degree, high school diploma/GED plus 12 years of relevant experience in operations/construction/customer service.
• 3 years of supervisory/management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic direction and risk management aligned with APS Business Plan.
• Manages partnerships with suppliers for capital projects and contract crew support.
• Oversees operations and maintains project controls to meet financial and risk objectives.
• Leads a high-performing team through coaching and development opportunities.
• Directs development and administration of partnering and construction contracts, including bid prep and policy adherence.
• Enforces safety programs for contract and company workers.
• Develops and manages operating budgets and addresses variances.
• Leads all project and program activities to ensure technical excellence and compliance.
• Identifies and manages project risks cost-effectively.
