Job summary

Arizona Public Service (APS) seeks a Contract Consultant on the Power Generation Team to guide contract lifecycle from implementation to performance evaluation. You will lead vendor negotiations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive analytics-driven improvements in spend and timelines.

As a subject matter expert, you will provide governance insights across legal, operational, and financial perspectives, while coordinating cross-functional teams to optimize value and mitigate risk within power

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in business, engineering, law or related field.
Eight years of progressive experience in contract management, business operations or related area.
In lieu of a bachelor's degree, combination of college coursework and/or experience totaling 12 years in contract management or operations.
Experience in energy, utilities, or regulated environments is preferred.
Strong analytical, data-driven approach and ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

Contract development and implementation aligned with goals, regulatory requirements, and standards.
Lead contract negotiations and amendments with vendors to optimize value.
Monitor contract compliance, identify deviations, and resolve issues before affecting operations.
Leverage data analytics to create dashboards/reports on spend, timelines, KPIs and performance.
Drive process improvement for contract governance, lifecycle management, and vendor relations.
