Client Overview:
We are working on a project with a leading utility services provider in the Philadelphia region, and are seeking Construction Supervisor to oversee a critical project involving the installation of a heater and generator at a Metering and Regulation (M&R) station. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to a high-impact project with a focus on mechanical, electrical, and minor structural work.

Job Summary:
The Construction Supervisor will be responsible for managing and coordinating all on-site activities related to the installation of a heater and generator at an M&R station. This role requires hands-on supervision of mechanical, electrical, and minor structural work, ensuring project milestones are met safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with expertise in mechanical and/or electrical projects.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel to maintain project schedules and deliverables.
  • Monitor progress of mechanical and electrical installations, including minor structural components, and address any issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to safety protocols, building codes, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, schedules, and material logs.
  • Identify and mitigate risks that could impact project timelines or quality.
  • Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders to provide updates and resolve challenges.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction supervision or a related role, with a focus on mechanical and/or electrical projects, with some proficiency in civil, architectural, or structural projects.
  • Proven expertise in managing mechanical and electrical installations; experience with structural work is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and building codes.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and project plans.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or similar).
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to the project site in Philadelphia, PA.
  • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in an outdoor and indoor construction environment, including exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Capability to walk, stand, and climb for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
Work Environment:
  • The role is based at a construction site in Philadelphia, PA
  • Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends required based on project needs.
