Job summary

The Intrepid Group is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead on-site renovation and facility service projects within secure government facilities supporting the Intelligence Community. You will supervise field operations, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure work progresses on schedule and within security guidelines.

This role requires extensive interaction with government stakeholders, security personnel, and facility managers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction field supervision, esp. renovation/tenant improvement.
• Experience with secure government facilities and SCIF environments.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, contract documents.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontract trades.
• Familiarity with UFC, ICD-705, SCIF requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site construction activities for renovation and facility services.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to follow project schedule and scope.
• Maintain security requirements, access control procedures, and SCIF standards.
• Review drawings and project documents to ensure alignment with contract requirements.
• Conduct daily site inspections to verify quality, safety, and workmanship.
• Manage construction schedules and sequencing to minimize disruption to occupied facilities.
• Collaborate with project managers, government representatives, and facility managers to resolve field issues.
• Track milestones, daily reports, RFIs, change orders, and field directives.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and federal construction standards.
• Support project closeout activities including punch lists and turnover packages.
• Maintain communication with security personnel for escorting and material handling.
