Job summary

LVI Associates is assisting a well-established general contractor in Arlington, VA, to hire an experienced Construction Superintendent for ongoing Pentagon work. Must have prior Pentagon construction experience and understand site access, security, logistics, and coordination within occupied facilities.

The role focuses on day-to-day field operations, subcontractor coordination, schedule management, safety, and quality control, with direct interaction with Project Managers, clients, and trades

Qualifications

• Previous Pentagon construction experience is required.
• Experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent with a commercial general contractor.
• Federal/government construction experience preferred.
• SCIF and secure facility experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day field operations, including subcontractor coordination, schedule management, safety, quality, and site logistics.
• Maintain thorough project documentation and QA/QC records; ensure compliance with contract requirements.

Construction Superintendent | Pentagon Experience Required

I'm working with an established general contractor looking to hire an experienced Construction Superintendent for ongoing work at the Pentagon.

Previous construction experience inside the Pentagon is a requirement for this position.

This is not simply a federal construction role. The contractor needs someone who already understands the realities of delivering projects within the Pentagon, including site access, security procedures, logistics, occupied environments, trade coordination, and the standards expected when working within the facility.

What we're looking for

• Previous Pentagon construction experience is required
• Experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent with a commercial general contractor
• Strong commercial interiors, renovation, and tenant improvement experience
• Experience working in active and occupied facilities
• Federal / government construction experience
• SCIF and secure facility experience is highly desirable
• Strong subcontractor and trade management experience
• Ability to manage schedules, sequencing, safety, quality, and site logistics
• Comfortable coordinating directly with Project Managers, clients, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders
• Familiarity with the access and security requirements associated with highly controlled government facilities
