Job summary

ARCO Design/Build seeks an enthusiastic Superintendent Intern/Co-op to gain hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of a construction project. You will work alongside seasoned field leaders, supporting field operations, safety leadership, scheduling, and quality control on-site in a learning-focused environment.

You’ll participate in daily site activities, attend meetings, review plans, and document progress while building the foundation for a future in construction.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering undergraduate or graduate program.
• Driver’s License
• Excellent verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethics.
• Previous Co-op or intern experience in construction preferred, but not required.
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Field Operations – Gain exposure to daily site activities from site mobilization through project completion.
• Safety Leadership – Participate in daily safety meetings and inspections, promoting a strong safety culture.
• Scheduling & Coordination – Assist with coordinating subcontractor activities and monitoring progress to keep projects on schedule.
• Quality Control – Observe and support quality inspections to ensure work meets project plans and ARCO standards.
• Trade Coordination – Work with Superintendents and subcontractors to understand sequencing and workflows.
• Progress Documentation – Assist with documenting daily site activities and preparing daily reports.
• Project Meetings – Attend subcontractor coordination meetings and owner walkthroughs.
• Plan & Drawing Review – Learn construction drawings, specs, and shop drawings as applied on site.
