Job Description

Who We're Looking For

We’re searching for a field-first, execution-driven Superintendent—someone who knows how to turn over 15+ rooms a day without compromising quality or client trust. You’ve led active hotel sites, navigated live guest environments, and balanced production with discretion. From mobilization to punch, you're in control of the field and ready to own the chaos.

You know the pace of hospitality: tight timelines, zero margin for error, and weekend work when needed. You're relentless with schedules, fluent in Procore, and take pride in seeing real progress every single day. If you can manage trade coordination, execute under pressure, and still keep inspectors, owners, and the front desk happy—we want you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent the company professionally to clients, inspectors, and neighbors.
  • Own all on-site construction operations—site prep, sequencing, and vertical build execution.
  • Lead subcontractor coordination, site logistics, and daily production tracking.
  • Maintain safety records, daily logs, and schedule updates within Procore.
  • Direct site teams to hit critical path milestones with urgency and discipline.
  • Enforce site safety, hotel site protocols, especially in guest-occupied or phased renovations.
  • Manage inspections, closeout checklists, and turnover phases with zero hand-holding.
  • Compare built conditions to plans and flag deviations before they become rework.
  • Lead site meetings, walkthroughs, and morning huddles to drive daily execution.
  • Review drawings and specs carefully—flag deviations from approved plans and ensure field execution aligns with design intent.
  • Represent Covenant to clients, inspectors, and hotel staff with professionalism and composure.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience in hospitality renovation or commercial ground-up construction.
  • Proven success delivering hotel renovation projects under accelerated schedules (: 15–30 rooms/day turnover).
  • Deep knowledge of site logistics in occupied environments (safety, guest protocols, swing spaces).
  • Proficient in Procore, Excel, and MS Project—able to log, update, and communicate digitally in real-time.
  • Highly skilled in reading and interpreting architectural, MEP, and structural plans.
  • Comfortable traveling to projects throughout Greater Tampa Area, typically within same-day driving distance.
  • Strong leadership in subcontractor coordination, sequencing, inspections, and schedule enforcement.

Additional Qualifications (not required):

  • Experience with hotel renovations on compressed schedules (15+ rooms/day turnover).
  • Strong bilingual communication skills (Spanish a plus, not required).
  • Background in site safety, quality control, or value engineering.
  • Experience training or mentoring assistant supers or foremen.
