Construction Superintendent (Hospitality Background Preferred)

Overview

We are seeking a field-first, execution-driven Superintendent with experience managing active hotel sites, especially in occupied environments, to oversee hospitality renovation projects. The ideal candidate can turn over 15+ rooms a day without compromising quality or client trust, and is comfortable working under tight timelines, including weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent the company professionally to clients, inspectors, and neighbors.
• Own all on-site construction operations—from site prep to vertical build execution.
• Coordinate subcontractors, manage site logistics, and track daily production.
• Maintain safety records, daily logs, and schedule updates within Procore.
• Lead site meetings, walkthroughs, and daily huddles to ensure progress.
• Review drawings and specifications, flag deviations, and ensure alignment with design intent.
• Manage inspections, closeout checklists, and project turnover phases independently.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience in hospitality renovation or commercial construction.
• Proven success with hotel renovation projects, ideally 15–30 rooms/day turnover.
• Deep knowledge of site logistics in occupied environments, including safety and guest protocols.
• Proficiency in Procore, Excel, and MS Project.
• Strong ability to interpret architectural, MEP, and structural plans.
• Willingness to travel within the Greater Tampa Area, typically same-day.
• Leadership skills in subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and inspections.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with fast-paced hotel renovations.
• Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred but not required).
• Background in safety, quality control, or value engineering.
• Experience mentoring assistant supers or foremen.
