Construction Superintendent (Hospitality Background Preferred)

We are seeking a field-first, execution-driven Superintendent—someone experienced in turning over 15+ hotel rooms daily without compromising quality or client trust. You should have led active hotel sites, managed live guest environments, and balanced production with discretion. From mobilization to punch list, you will be in control of the field operations and prepared to handle the chaos.

You understand the pace of hospitality: tight schedules, zero tolerance for errors, and weekend work when necessary. You are diligent with schedules, proficient in Procore, and committed to showing daily progress. If you can coordinate trades, perform under pressure, and maintain good relationships with inspectors, owners, and hotel staff, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent the company professionally to clients, inspectors, and neighbors.
• Manage all on-site construction activities including site prep, sequencing, and vertical build execution.
• Coordinate subcontractors, oversee site logistics, and track daily production.
• Maintain safety records, daily logs, and schedule updates within Procore.
• Lead site teams to meet critical milestones with urgency and discipline.
• Enforce safety protocols, especially in guest-occupied or phased renovation environments.
• Handle inspections, closeout checklists, and project turnover with independence.
• Compare actual conditions to plans and report deviations early.
• Conduct site meetings, walkthroughs, and daily huddles to ensure execution.
• Review drawings and specifications, flag deviations, and ensure alignment with design intent.
• Represent Covenant professionally to clients, inspectors, and hotel staff.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of Superintendent experience in hospitality renovation or commercial ground-up construction.
• Proven success in delivering hotel renovation projects on accelerated schedules (preferably 15–30 rooms/day).
• Deep understanding of site logistics in occupied environments, including safety, guest protocols, and swing spaces.
• Proficiency in Procore, Excel, and MS Project for real-time digital communication and updates.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, MEP, and structural plans.
• Willingness to travel within the Greater Tampa Area, typically within the same day.
• Strong leadership skills in subcontractor coordination, sequencing, inspections, and schedule enforcement.

Preferred but not required Qualifications:

• Experience with hotel renovations on compressed schedules (15+ rooms/day turnover).
• Bilingual communication skills (Spanish preferred but not required).
• Background in site safety, quality control, or value engineering.
• Experience mentoring assistant supers or foremen.
