Job summary

Thomas Young Group in Hanover, MD, a leading general contracting firm, seeks an experienced project manager to join a family-oriented culture and diverse project portfolio. You will work with the Project Manager to keep schedules, manage subcontractors, and ensure client satisfaction on multi-family housing, data centers, education, and more.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in construction, strong base building knowledge, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of base building/ground-up construction.
• Excellent communication and coordination with relevant teams.
• Commercial and industrial construction background.
• Strong organizational skills to ensure projects are delivered on or under schedule.
• Strong negotiation skills to help deliver projects on or under budget.
• Ability to support and adapt within a rapidly growing GC environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update project schedules with the Project Manager.
• Foster relationships with subcontractors and vendors through professionalism and fairness.
• Ensure projects meet client expectations by understanding their needs and culture.
• Maintain open communication with project teams regarding changes, job conditions, and potential risks.
• Manage project timelines and proactively mitigate potential delays.
