Qualifications

• 10+ years of superintendent or field construction leadership experience.
• Experience leading hyperscale data centers, mission-critical facilities, semiconductor, manufacturing, or large industrial projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• OSHA 30 Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations and oversee onsite construction activities.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners to maintain production and quality standards.
• Monitor daily work activities to keep projects on schedule and within scope.
• Conduct daily site walks to identify safety concerns, quality issues, and potential schedule impacts.
• Drive field coordination between trades and project teams.
• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals for correct installation.
• Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with codes and specs.
• Oversee safety, site requirements, and SWPPP compliance.
• Oversee heavy civil construction activities (grading, utilities, paving, drainage).
• Lead daily coordination and safety meetings and support turnover.

Job description

Currie & Brown is seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to support a major hyperscale data center program in La Porte, IN.

This is a boots-on-the-ground field leadership role responsible for driving day-to-day construction activities, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining site safety and quality, and ensuring work progresses according to schedule. You'll spend the majority of your time in the field leading construction operations, identifying and resolving issues before they impact the project, and working closely with the owner, contractors, and trade partners to deliver a successful project.

The ideal candidate has experience leading field operations on large-scale data center, mission-critical, industrial, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing projects and thrives in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead daily field operations and oversee all onsite construction activities.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners to maintain production and quality standards.
• Monitor daily work activities to ensure projects remain on schedule and within scope.
• Conduct daily site walks to identify safety concerns, quality issues, and potential schedule impacts.
• Drive field coordination between civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and specialty trades.
• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals to ensure work is installed correctly.
• Coordinate inspections and verify work complies with project specifications and applicable codes.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, site safety requirements, and company safety standards.
• Oversee heavy civil construction activities, including grading, excavation, underground utilities, paving, drainage, and site infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with SWPPP, erosion and sediment control requirements, environmental permits, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify field conflicts and work proactively with project teams to resolve issues before they impact schedule or cost.
• Lead daily subcontractor coordination meetings, safety meetings, and planning sessions.
• Support commissioning, punch list completion, turnover, and project closeout activities.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, progress documentation, and field records.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of Superintendent or field construction leadership experience on large commercial or industrial construction projects.
• Experience leading field execution on hyperscale data centers, mission-critical facilities, semiconductor, manufacturing, or large industrial projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, means and methods, and field operations.
• Experience managing subcontractors across multiple trades.
• Strong understanding of structural concrete, steel, underground utilities, earthwork, grading, drainage, and civil construction.
• Working knowledge of SWPPP, erosion and sediment control, environmental compliance, and permitting requirements.
• Experience coordinating inspections, RFIs, submittals, punch lists, and turnover activities.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
