Job summary

Rushmore Construction Group is seeking a Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper to own day-to-day bookkeeping, cash management, and financial reporting across multiple entities. You will start alongside the current outside provider to learn the chart of accounts, then transition the function in-house.

You will work in-office, handle WIP and job costing, and support tax filings with an ownership-level exposure. Strong QuickBooks Online and Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting in construction, real estate, or related fields.
• Hands-on QuickBooks Online experience and multi-entity accounting.
• Experience with WIP and percentage-of-completion methods.
• Ability to prepare bank reconciliations and monthly financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Enter, classify, and code receipts, bills, invoices, and transactions across software.
• Maintain job and cost-code accounting across projects and properties.
• Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, GL maintenance, and reconciliations.
• Create and issue invoices; manage A/P and A/R end-to-end.
• Monitor aging schedules and follow up on receivables/payables.
• Record cash flows and monitor cash positions across entities.
• Prepare recurring financial reporting and monthly statements.
• Oversee WIP, percentage-of-completion, and job-cost accounting.
• Assist with quarterly and simple annual tax filings.
• Help transition accounting workflows from outsourced to in-house.
