Job summary

Rushmore Construction Group in Oakhurst, NJ seeks a Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper to own day-to-day bookkeeping, cash management, financial reporting, and select tax duties across multiple entities. This newly created role starts with partnering with our outside accounting provider before transitioning in-house, offering ownership, problem solving, and direct collaboration with company ownership.

Responsibilities include coding receipts and bills in Buildertrend, QuickBooks Online, and DoorLoop;

Qualifications

• 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience in construction or related industries.
• CPA license preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and multi-entity accounting.
• Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter, classify, and code receipts, bills, invoices, and transactions across Buildertrend, QuickBooks Online, and DoorLoop.
• Maintain accurate job and cost-code accounting across construction projects, rental properties, and affiliated entities.
• Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, including general ledger maintenance and bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Create and issue customer invoices and vendor bills; manage accounts payable and receivable from start to finish.
• Prepare recurring financial reporting and monthly financial statements; take charge of WIP and job-cost accounting.
