Job Description
** Rushmore Construction Group**
** Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper - Construction**
** Location:** Oakhurst, NJ | In-Office
** Build the Financial Backbone of a Growing Company.**
** Rushmore Construction Group** is a growing custom luxury home builder serving Monmouth County, New Jersey. Alongside our construction business, our affiliated entities include rental properties and other partner-owned ventures. As the company continues to grow and professionalize its operations, we're bringing key financial functions in-house and building systems designed to support the next stage of the business.
We're looking for an experienced Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper to take ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping, cash management, financial reporting, and select tax-related responsibilities across multiple entities. This is a newly created position; not a seat in a large, established accounting department. You'll initially work alongside our current outside accounting provider to understand the existing chart of accounts, cost-code structure, and WIP methodology before progressively taking ownership of the function internally. The right person will enjoy creating structure, improving processes, solving problems independently, and working directly with company ownership.

Why Rushmore Construction Group?
This is an opportunity to build something rather than simply inherit someone else's accounting process. You'll have direct access to ownership, visibility across several businesses, and the ability to create systems that have an immediate impact on how the company operates. As Rushmore continues to grow, the scope and responsibility of this position can grow with it. If you enjoy ownership, autonomy, problem-solving, and being an important part of a small entrepreneurial team, this role offers the chance to make your mark.
