Job summary

CME Associates, Inc. is seeking a Construction Special Inspector to perform tests and inspections on soils, concrete, asphalt, and related materials for high-profile commercial projects in the Greater Rochester, NY area.

The role emphasizes accurate data recording, interpretation of test results, and clear communication with project managers. Qualified candidates will have a HS Diploma and ideally a Civil Engineering/Geology-related degree, plus ICC/ACI certifications and a valid driver's

Qualifications

HS Diploma required.
Degree in Civil Engineering / Technology, Geology, or related is ideal, although necessary.
Experience is preferred with ICC or ACI certifications would be beneficial.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Perform tests and inspections on soils, concrete, asphalt, reinforced concrete, masonry, welding & bolting, and other construction materials.
Read drawings and specifications and interpret test results.
Record and report test results clearly and concisely.
Communicate regularly with project managers and complete field data records daily.
Prepare for and complete continuing education for ACI and ICC certifications.
